In a well-insulated cooler, the Ice Buddy can extend the life of traditional bagged ice for up to 24 hours. Non-toxic and non-hazardous, the Ice Buddy is reusable for up to five years. The Ice Buddy does this is through a chemical reaction achieved by first charging the pack (freezing @ 10 degrees F). Our packs do not require any special handling, training or costly hazmat shipping fees. This makes them a great alternative to dry ice for cold shipping and many other uses.
